Our Experiences
Assurance - External Audit & Tax Compliance for a Multi-Family Office (LFMC)
We have been engaged by a MFO with AUM of USD1.5 to 2billion to perform external audit for some of the funds that are under its care. The nature of the funds are mainly in the private credit in the ASEAN space. We also help them to ensure that their tax positions fulfill the criteria set forth by S13O/U so that they do not breach any tax regulations in Singapore.
Assurance - External Audit for a MAS licensed Payment Company
Our client is a Payment Fintech licensed under the Payment Service Act. As part of their licensing, they are required to onboard a local auditor in SG to perform audit services for them which includes compliance audit as part of the MAS reporting. We have been selected as beyond the bigger audit firms, we are one of the few firms (amongst the smaller firms) that is able to provide a comprehensive audit service that covers MAS compliance audit on top of the statutory audit.
Assurance - External Attestation Audit for Payment Service Providers
Under MAS new Guidelines for Licensing for Payment Service Providers, under Section 4.1.8 (https://www.mas.gov.sg/-/media/mas-media-library/regulation/guidelines/pso/ps-g01-guidelines-on-licensing-for-payment-service-providers/guidelines-on-licensing-for-payment-service-providers-2024-1.pdf), we are one of the vendors providing Attestation Audit to firms who wants to offer payment services in particular, digital payment tokens. We are working with a few PSA applicants to help them to perform the attestation audit for them.
Consulting - Compliance AML/KYC Support for a Licensed Global Crypto Exchange
We are required by the client to support the compliance department via secondment of technical compliance officers to support its onboarding and ongoing AML/KYC/CDD requirements. We are also tasked to support the firm in overseeing their Global AML/KYC transformation as part of their aim to obtain PSA license. We supported our client in the review of TRM policies, Checklists and SOPs; penetration testing assessment including test of vulnerabilities within the online financial services; and data protection review of current existing framework.
Consulting - Compliance Transformation for a Licensed Global Bank
Working alongside other consulting firms, we supported the Bank’s Compliance (General) transformation globally. We were tasked to be the main project lead for APAC region and also work closely with their Group Compliance team to analyse the gaps in regulations across the APAC countries/globally and formulate feasible recommendations to implement for the Bank.
Consulting - BCM Framework Update & Audit for Various FIs
We have performed BCM framework update and drafting of BCP policy for various Fis from insurance to fund management company. As part of this exercise, we work closely with the clients to understand their process and help them to mark up their current BCP/BCM polices and procedures. We are also engaged by various Capital Market and Payment Services firms to perform BCM audit to support in helping them to meet the statutory requirements.
Others - Company Secretary & Organization Structuring for VCC/SFO
We have been given the mandate by various firms to set up VCC/SFO for them. We have been assisting clients and working alongside trusted legal firms to structure the setup. We are subsequently nominated as the company secretary to help the firms deal with the compliance to Company/VCC Act in Singapore.
Others - Operating Due Diligence for a Hospitality Group
We have been selected as the main consultant to perform Operator and Owner handover due diligence for inventory and fixed assets. During handover process, we were task to compile a list of fixed assets and inventory from pre-openings to be handed over for the management under the Operator’s books. We focus on key areas like CAPEX and cash flow /reserves to be funded for the initial operations of a Hotel. We also provided advice on key assumptions on revenue and market share growth, full year budget and CAPEX spend.
Others - Outsourcing of Finance/Compliance Professionals to various Companies
We have been engaged by multiple global MNCs and local MNCs to provide outsourcing support in particular, technical Finance (i..e Finance Manager) or technical compliance ops (i.e. KYC, TM and SAR investigations) on a short term basis. Besides being able to scale the outsourcing arrangement quickly, we are also conversant with the Finance and Compliance regulations in Singapore and we are able to also provide advisory which helped our clients to transform ensuring that we are simply more than just hands and legs.
